Go-Carting

We arrive at a factory unit in Crawley. The wording on the outside ‘Go-Karting For Fun’ seems to give the game away of what we are doing next.

Someone is dispatched to fetch a dozen MuckDonalds whilst we wait for the beginning.

The event is endurance racing. We split into two teams of six in the traditional playground method with the best-men as captains.

There are also another three teams at the same event and the total racing time is two hours; one start and pit-stops to change drivers. We decide to run ten minute stints so that we get two goes each. Prangs included!

Racing was relatively close, but our (Jez’s) team were not as close as Sticks team – they ended up second, rather than second to last!
