Jubilee Hall Downstairs
Here is a brief description of the downstairs floor.

The
lounge is at the east side of the house (left when viewed from the front) and
stretches from the front to the rear.
It has a large marble mantelpiece with
an open gas (coal effect) fire in an iron grate. Either side of this, there
are curious recesses in the walls that look like they were once windows, but
viewing from the outside proves they couldn't have been.

There are a pair of french doors that lead to the patio and rear garden. These are set in the box bay windows.
Between
the lounge and the dining room, there is the study. This study is for use by
me (Dave) and Joanne has her own one upstairs. Currently, it is a complete pigsty
and I need to do some serious clearing up. However it is usable for my little
'projects'.
The
dining room extend from the hall to the other box bay windows to the rear. Again
there is a open gas (coal effect) fire in an iron grate, with a wooden mantelpiece.
It
has a wooden strip floor and also features (non structural) wooden beams and
timbers around the walls.
Many
thanks to Ray for the superb new oak table and matching benches that he has
made for us. They are absolutley gorgeous.
The
kitchen is in the west extension and has views of the rear garden and access
to the back passage via the back door.
It
has a low level fridge and freezer and we have fitted our cooker from the last
house. The washer/dryer machine is fitted, as is the dishwasher. The void where
the tumble dryer used to be is filled by a new cupboard unit.
The combi boiler is hidden in the old chimney brest. This has just been replaced by a new condesing unit.
The
hallway runs along the front of the building, from the lounge to the kitchen
and downstairs loo. All rooms lead off this hall.
It
has a wide front door and the floor is made of herringbone wood blocks, giving
a pleasant character feel.
